Pumpkin Light Night

October 29th from 5pm-8pm 

Pumpkin Light Night is our annual community event. Entrance to the event is free and everyone is invited. 

  • pizza, hot dogs, candy, drinks will be sold- bring your blanket and chairs for a picnic
  • grade level and student performances
  • pumpkin decorating contest 
  • inflatables and games $15 bracelet fee, pre-order forms will be sent home soon for a discounted price 

This year's pumpkin contest will feature individual pumpkins only. (no class/grade-level displays) Every child who enters a pumpkin in the contest will receive a free dress day ticket to be used on November 1st. Students may wear a school appropriate costume if they choose to. The pumpkins will be judged in the following categories: 

  • Literacy: Make your pumpkin look like your favorite book character. 
  • sports: Make your pumpkin look like sports equipment or your favorite athlete. 
  • Disguised: Disguise your pumpkin and make it resemble another object. 
  • Carved: Carve your pumpkin an light it up. 
  • Patch: Use more than one pumpkin in a theme display of your choice. 
  • Open: Any type of pumpkin will fit in this category!

Pumpkins will be judged on visual impact, craftsmanship, and creativity. 

  • Prizes Awarded- Each Category: 1st place: $100 2nd place: $50
  • Winners will be announced at 7:45. 

Pumpkins can be delivered from 7:30-8:30 and 11:30-4:30 on the 29th and must be picked up by 10:00 on the 31st. No pumpkins on the bus. Any pumpkin not picked up will be thrown away.
