Stockwell Parents, We are excited to celebrate all of our students’ hard work and dedication leading up to and during state testing of K-3 Literacy and LEAP! To show them how proud we are, we’re having a special post-testing celebration and would love your support. We are planning a fun-filled day especially for our Stallions on May 12th. To make this event a success, we need your help running booths, concessions, and activities. Your time and involvement will help us create a memorable celebration for our students. Leap testing begins next week, Wednesday, April 30th for grades 3-5. Please be sure your child goes to bed early tonight, eats a good breakfast and is at school on time (7:45-8:05)!

🌟 Military Lunch on the Lawn 🌟 Join us on April 15th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM as we celebrate Military Child Month with a special lunch for all military children and their families! 🇺🇸 Come eat a picnic lunch, and don't forget to bring your blankets and chairs! 🍽️ This event is open to all students who are military children, and their military parent—whether active duty, reserve, retired, or a veteran. 🎉 Congratulations to the talented winners of the Defenders of Liberty Student Art Show! These young artists truly captured the essence of freedom in their incredible artwork. 👏 A round of applause for: 🎨Elementary Division Winner: Lexi Kauffmann-Perez, a 5th grader from Stockwell Place Elementary! 🎨Middle School Division Winner: Paphada Senphimmachack, a 6th grader from Greenacres! 🎨High School Division Winner: Ashley Buzzard, a 10th grader from Parkway! These amazing students were presented with monetary awards at the April 3rd Bossier Parish School Board meeting by Lisa Johnson, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and Krista Augustson, the Chamber's Military Relations Liaison, along with Bossier Schools Supervisor of Special Programs, Holly George. A special thank you to Risk Pros for their generous sponsorship, making this contest possible! Your support of our young artists is truly appreciated. 🏆

Reminder for our Stallion Families and Friends, Come join the “Reading Circus!” To celebrate Read Across America Week, we have several fun and educational activities planned for the week of March 3rd-7th. The students will have the opportunity to add a little pizzazz to their school uniform each day. See the attached graphic for dress-up opportunities for the week. We hope everyone enjoys participating in this school-wide event as we celebrate our love of reading at SPE.

Green from head to toe, let’s go! Happy St. Patrick’s Day, don’t you know! Our St. Patrick’s Day dress-up day is coming soon-March 17th. We’re sharing now so families can plan ahead. It’s $5 to participate. Students may wear a St. Patrick’s Day shirt with jeans or dress in all green. Please remember to follow dress code guidelines for leggings and hoodies.
