Bossier Parish Schools will accept up to five parent notes per school year, which may be used to excuse up to five absences.
If your child is absent for a reason that is not otherwise considered an excused absence, you may submit a parent note using the district’s official Parent Note for Excused Absence form.
A few important reminders:
• The district’s official template is required.
• Parent notes must be submitted within five school days after the student returns to school. Notes received after five days will remain unexcused.
• A maximum of five days per school year may be excused using parent notes.
• Parent notes cannot be split into partial days. A note used for an early dismissal or late check-in will count as one full day toward the five-day limit.
Copies of the form are available in the school office or on the Bossier Parish Schools website under Student & Parent Resources.

Completed forms may be emailed to ashlynn.goss@bossierschools.org or turned in directly to Ms. Goss in the office.
We know there are times when students need to miss school, and we hope this option helps families while still supporting strong attendance throughout the school year. 💙🐴
All Kindergarten through 5th-grade girls and their parents are invited to an interest meeting with representatives from Girl Scouts of Louisiana. Come out for an afternoon of games and information on how to join.
*A parent must be present with their student.

It's time to complete the Free/Reduced meal application at https://www.myschoolapps.com/
Paper applications are available upon request at their child's school.
Completed applications should be returned to the Child Nutrition office.
Remember, families must reapply every school year.
If you have questions, please contact the Child Nutrition office at 549-5046.
